Hockey Fans

I know there aren't many fellow hockey fans in this area, but I am smiling at my Flyers so far this year. Last year Philly had the worst record in franchise history, as well as the NHL. I know it is early, but after dusting the New Jersey Devils 4-0 tonight, the Flyers stand at 5-1. We didn't win #5 until November 16th last year. Apparently, we have landed a great goalie.

I love hockey. It is the perfect mix of grace and power. Before you dog it, lemme ask you 2 questions: 1. Can YOU skate full speed while passing a something the size of a Skoal can on the end of a stick? 2. Any other sport where the ref will let you drop the gloves and beat the brakes off each other (other than boxing, MMA..etc)

    What's not to love?

being a rangers fan i hate philly waith a passion.......but gagne is great and the brier pickup was nothing short of spectacular for them

they certainly should make some noise this year.......but when all is said and done......the broadway blues will still be laughing at them from the SCF

nice to see some hockey chatter been a red wings fan since the early 90's (i learned hockey from a sega genesis, and the wings just happened to be the first team i used).

have an old friend who lives in vancouver now, but is a huge rangers fan, too. i have to smile a little bit every time the red wings beat the rangers

indian dad, if you ever get a chance to see hockey live, do so....even if it's a minor leage game. soooo much more fun to watch live. my first game, there was one fight on the ice, and one about four rows behind me. can't beat that kinda entertainment.

    Re: Hockey Fans

Being from Roanoke (was born there and lived in the summers, holidays there with my dad) I was blessed to see the Lancers/Express play many times. This is is what made me a hockey fan. I saw the first game and was hooked.

    Re: Hockey Fans

the first pro sproting event i ever went to was a hockey game. my father took me to a rangers/capitals playoff game when i was 7.

its tough to watch hockey on TV unless you are truly a fan of the game because otherwsie its tough to follow........but there is nothing like watching hockey live........especially playoff hockey

i was in buffalo last columbus day weekend......that was the opening weekend for hockey lasy year

toronto was playing montreal at the air canada center in toronto......i took the drive up for that.....and it was truly one of the best experiences of my life at a sporting event

so see two of the originals playing the game in canada was quite the experience........the way we get crazy at CFB games is how they are for hockey games

if you ever get the chance to see a hockey game in canada.......do it
